THE PSYCHOLOGY HELPDESK

For A level Psychology Teachers.

It is often the case that Psychology teachers can feel overwhelmed with the sheer amount of content provided in the textbooks, and a lot of teaching time can be devoted to the delivery of A01 material leaving little time to develop A03 and A02 skills. Often, teachers are confused by how much A03 is needed, and what actually qualifies as evaluation. Marking schemes can seem vague at times. Research methodology can be tricky to grasp if you aren’t a subject specialist, and you’ve been thrown in at the deep end, teaching Psychology alongside your core subject. Based on many years of experience of managing an outstanding Psychology Department and my training as an examiner, I am able to provide bespoke coaching to support your Psychology teaching. Whether you want to focus on ways to streamline your content delivery, enhance your understanding of a particular module, develop your teaching methods to improve evaluation skills or increase your confidence with marking, I can tailor sessions to suit your exact needs. I specialise in techniques for differentiation, so whether you are looking for ways to stretch your most able students, or provide effective scaffolding for those in need of extra support, PsychologySure can offer practical solutions to match your students needs.

For A Level Psychology Students

Sometimes there just aren’t enough teaching hours in the day to cover all the fine course details and student ability levels can be so diverse - it can be hard to support every individual learner’s needs. PsychologySure can help lighten the load. We are able to create training sessions for your Psychology cohort, focusing on specific modules, assessment skills and exam technique. Alternatively, we can work with particular groups of students, who may need further challenge or more assistance, through our ‘STRETCH’ or ‘SUPPORT’ workshops. As the exams loom closer, many students struggle with consolidating their learning. Our ‘CRAMMER’ workshops have been created to condense entire modules into manageable bite size chunks.
